ChildLine is the UK's free national helpline for children and young people in trouble or danger. If you need help, if you want to talk to someone, call ChildLine free on 0800 1111.
National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. This website has recently been updated and gives United Kingdom information and helpline for the protection of children.
The purpose of the Counselling Directory is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them, and appropriate for their needs.
Winchester Rape Crisis is UK based and deals with both male and female victims. It will also accept info and feedback via e-mails, but not requests for counselling.
The Site is a UK based featuring all aspects of help for young people. It does have a comprehensive list of area by area Rape Crisis Centres listed with addresses phone numbers and opening hours, as well as a lot of practical help for victims of sexual abuse and rape.
Here is a useful site for victims of rape or sexual abuse written by the Metropolitan Police. A useful reference point before going to the police on what to expect.Search for Sexual Assault when you reach their site.
ACAL is a UK organisation that can recommend a solicitor with some understanding of childhood abuse cases. Provide support and training to professionals. A welcome campaigning organisation and a useful site.
Abuse Law UK aims to provide easy access to information for child and adult survivors of physical, sexual and psychological abuse on all aspects of this complex area of law. The site also aims to offer guidance on and understanding of the legal system of England and Wales for professionals working for survivors of abuse.
Fire in Ice 2005 is a Merseyside based self-help project for both male and female non offending adults, who have experienced childhood abuse and/or adult sexual assaults.
#Survivors UK recognises the need for all survivors of abuse to have a place, their own space, that they can go to and be themselves, without judgement, without being ridiculed or dismissed, but to feel worthy. #Survivors are an information, self-help and support group.

The Mental Health Foundation is a UK based charity dealing with Mental Health issues. A good comprehensive site with lots of information, news and publications
Silent Edge provides information and links of interest for those concerned about sexual abuse and exploitation in figure skating, and other advocacy issues for skaters. They also seek to engage the skating community in action for skater advocacy.
Solace is a Warwickshire organisation Supporting people in the Community suffering from distress
Survivors Swindon is one of the very few sites for male survivors in the UK with a wealth of information and contacts.
Disabled Information is a one-stop site for all disabled people. There is a shopping mall plus travel and leisure sections. The Webmaster welcomes all ideas and information.
Havocca provides support, friendship and advice for any adult who's life has been affected by childhood abuse
UK based Spikey offers information about spiked drinks for the presence of drugs used in drink spiking to stop sexual abuse, drug rape, date rape drugs, date rape, date rape drug and illicit substances like Rohypnol, GHB, more alcohol from being spiked in pubs, bars and at parties as a drink spike detector
The Survivors Trust is a national umbrella agency for over 120 specialist voluntary sector agencies providing a range of counselling, therapeutic and support services working with women, men and children who are victims/survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse.
